The LSST Board of Directors have called for election of all positions on the
Board Of Directors. Elections will be held in conjunction with a general
membership meeting and pool party on _Wednesday August 25th_. That’s
right the Board of Directors would like to invite all members of the Leeland
Express to a Pool Party. Official business of elections will be conducted,
but we will party too! Pool party will be held from _6 PM to 9 PM_. More
details on the pool party will come soon.

All positions of the BOD will be elected by majority vote. The LSST by-laws
stipulate that each household of swimmers on the Leeland Express have one
vote each. Ballots will be distributed by household during the check-in
process at the meeting. Each candidate will be given an opportunity to
address the membership during the meeting. Ballots will be accepted from
7:30 PM until 8:15 PM (just in case you can not attend the entire meeting -
make sure you submit your ballot by 8:15 PM on the pool deck).

The following are the elected positions and descriptions:

_President_ – The President will serve as the chief member of the BOD.
During recess the BOD shall have general control and management of the LSST
business and affairs, except that any powers not specifically reserved by
the President may be delegated by the BOD.
_Vice President _- The Vice President shall act in lieu of the President in
the event the President is incapable of acting by reason of death, illness,
resignation, or absence.
_Treasurer_ – The Treasurer shall have primary custody of and maintain
detailed records of the LSST bank account and all LSST related financial
transactions, unless otherwise determined by the BOD.
_Secretary_ – The Secretary shall make and keep minutes of all meetings of
the BOD and the general membership using an approved standardized format and
the following process.
_RSL Representative_ – The RSL Representative shall be the official
representative of LSST to the RSL and shall have voting authority of the
LSST at meetings of the RSL.
_Volunteer Director_ – The Volunteer Coordinator shall actively recruit
volunteers to fill positions needed to ensure the LSST functions smoothly.
_Equipment Director_ – The Equipment Manager shall coordinate identification
and purchase of all equipment required to function as a swim team.
